Description
This image is a gel plate monoprint of my hands. I used some gears cogs from my brothers motor bike to establish the mechanical aspect of the image. The hand print part of the print was made quite simply by pressing my hand into the gel plate, and then rollering layers of paint in order to bring the colours that you see in the hands.
The title comes from the effect of the hand looking to reach out of the mechanical cog/circle, as if from the outer ranges of the scanned field of observation. Like a touch from the deep.
