This is the largest project i have worked on to date. It started as an exploration of my Panotrait series and has become a huge project of it’s own making. The goal is to assemble a final image, which will be constructed out of 25 hand painted portraits of the same sitter. Each of those 25 paintings will consist of 5 portraits conveyed on a lateral plane. So when the final image is constructed it will be something akin to 5X5X5 version of the portrait/sitter.
I have to run this project alongside other related projects to see whether my theories about the image making play out in a practical sense. This is why it has become such a vast project. To date it has taken 3 years, fingers crossed the experimental work is largely behind me now.
