Description
This image uses a resist technique involving oil pastel, which I apply to the print paper before introducing on to the gel plate. Because the oil pastel is oil based the paint in between the oil pastel and the gel plate resists the absorption into the paper, and remains on the plate. I then placed multiple gel plates over the image, and then peeled it away after a minute or so. This reveals an image on the gel plate, where the oil pastel has resisted the paint absorption into the paper. I then use scrape away the excess paint on the oil pastel to reveal the final image.
