Description
Acton Burnell Castle is a fortified manor house situated in the village of Acton Burnell, just outside of Shrewsbury in Shropshire. Made from sandstone, the ruins there are like a scooped out architecture, leaving just the perimeter walls. So the ruins are very accessible, and gave me a lot of vantage points to work from. The castle is sited in quite an enclosed part of the village of Acton Burnell, giving the ruins a remote feeling.
