Description
This gel plate monoprint was created on one of my smaller plates, but is possibly one of my most simply potent pieces. I think because of its smaller scale. I used off cuts of wood from my brothers carpentry workshop, that had a bit of a raised grain. this gave some really interesting contour allusions as you can see in the final image. To build it was quite simple, and is part of inspired a mini series of follow up monoprints using the same technique. Visually I explored the perspective within the composition, and this is where the title for the mini series is derived from.
