Noise in the Signal

Description

This image is generated out eight different versions of the same portrait composition. Four of the compositions were reversed, dissected into the diamond like geometric shapes seen in the final image, and then reconstructed back together again. As the outline integrity of the portraits are maintained, this became an investigation into the background interference in this image, and it’s sister image “Noise in the Signal” Both derive their titles from the background interference aspect. There is a strong feeling of identity fracturing into a sort of digital realm in both this piece, and its sister piece.

Painted in various medias, and collaged together. Medias include acrylic,  ink, various drawing media, oil pastel, oil stick.
